Taking a moment to celebrate...

My youngest brother and wife are getting ready to celebrate

their FIRST wedding anniversary.

I'm sure they are thrilled it is cooler than it was last year.
The celebration took place at an outdoor venue in Kansas City last July,
and it was 106 degrees (in the shade!)

I wanted to make a card that tied in with their yellow & grey theme...

I used the Daydream Medallions stamp set from Stampin' Up in
Daffodil Delight & Basic Grey. The sentiment is from Loving Thoughts.

(*I don't know who she got it from or if she created it, so I call it "Lari's" recipe : ))

A Sweet Day!

It was a "baking sort of day" so...I decided  to try out Stampin' Up's Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps.
I used the smiley Jack-O' Lantern face.

Here's what I did:
1. rolled dough into balls
2. flattened with a glass, dipped in sugar
3. dipped cookie stamp into sugar, then pressed into dough
4. used a biscuit cutter to trim away excess and to make uniform in size
5. baked at 350 for 10 min.

Here they are, hot from the oven!

Next, I decorated, trying sugars and using colored food coloring gel to paint on faces.
Fun fun!
